July Favorites

It's that time again!

Monthly Favorites, duh.

I have a variety of favorites this month and I hope you enjoy so lets hope right into it.

July Favorites

July Favorites by imkynn

Firstly, we have 5 Seconds of Summer's debut self-titled album and I'm glad you can't see me right now because I might be fangirlling a little bit... but I wrote it anyway so I just told on myself. If you haven't heard of 5 Seconds of Summer I really don't know why you've been hiding from wonderful music. 5 Seconds of Summer are an Australian pop rock band made of Luke Hemmings on vocals and guitar, Micheal Clifford on guitar, Calum Hood (insert heart-eyed emojis) on bass and vocals, and lastly Ashton Irwin on drums. who have been taking the charts by storm with their first official single, She Looks So Perfect. I found out about 5SOS (I also promise I didn't make that up, they call themselves that) around May 2013 when they had released music in Australia and the UK yet not the US which made me quite sad. Since I've discovered them though they have become much more popular around  the world and have released their debut album on the 24th of July. I pre-ordered as well... is that bad? Even if it is I wouldn't care. They've been working on this album for two years and it shows in the music. You know how with some bands you can compare them to another like, "Oh they sound like this other band." or vice versa. There is no one like 5SOS and I love being a fan of them. So you should definitely check out their album: here and here.

Okay next we have something that a lot of you may know about but if you know about it... you're probably addicted just like me. This favorite is Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. Now before you start saying, "Thats so stupid. Blah, blah." I'd just like to tell you... no. This game is so much fun its surprising. You make your own avatar and you start off as a retail worker in Downtown LA when you run into Kim and she gives you the opportunity of a lifetime -in the game of  course- to model and you gain experience by doing photoshoots, catwalks, dating other players in the game. It seems so pointless and... it may be a little bit and my mom finds it a distraction to me but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Okay so in my opinion you guys so go get this game ASAP so here is the link.

Number 3! We have blogger, iknowlee aka Helecia, I've only more recently started reading her blog and watching her YouTube channel but I'm in love with everything she posts. She is a beauty, fashion, and natural hair guru. Thats exactly what she is... a guru. Her hair is everything I want mine to be and more plus I find her personal style so adorable. I can't wait to see more from Helecia since I'm pretty new to her blog and YouTube. :)

For our second to last favorite we have the Helvetica Alphabet Tee from American Apparel and... I want one so bad its unbelievable. I could probably DIY a shirt just like for less than the $24 dollars but even still. I had actually seen this shirt on a few of my favorite YouTubers, Zoella and Caspar Lee and I thought it was pretty cool. Then I saw it on The Hunt app (if you don't know what The Hunt is you can check out my blog post on it here .) style really cutely I knew that one way or another I was going to get this shirt. And guess what?! I still didn't get it but I'm going to work on getting that soon.

Lastly, in this favorites is my favorite book of the moment Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. The book was published in August of 2011 but I started reading it in June. For my freshman seminar when I start college classes next month this book was out reading assignment. Its based in 2040 where our world is completely centered around the program OASIS, its where people shop, go to school, work, etc. Yet when one of the creators of OASIS, James Halliday, dies all of his estate is the prize of going on a wild scavenger hunt inside the world of OASIS hunting for clues. So when the protagonist, Wade Watts is the first person to unlock the first part of the chase his world changes forever. That sounded really of off the back cover didn't it? I promise I didn't plagiarize that; its just how I write when I love a book.

Well alrighty that is it for this months favorites! I hope you all enjoyed it and I'll see you in the next post! :)

Bloggers I Love: Patricia Bright

As most people blogs and YouTube take up a significant of time of my life.

One of my favorite bloggers and YouTubers is : Patricia Bright.

Patricia is a style, beauty, lifestyle, and advice vlogger who lives in London.

She is one of my main blogging inspirations as I love her style and just her personality. Shes extremely charming and has an amazing sense of humor that make her blog posts as well as her videos so much more interesting and fun.

She shares her many experiences of travelling all around the world with her husband, Mike, and the cultures she experiences through her blog posts.  I mostly go to her blog for those.

For fashion and beauty tips I go to her YouTube.

I really love Patricia because most of the other bloggers that I like don't share the same ethnicity so I can find it hard to really take certain beauty tips from them because they won't look the same on my skin tone Patricia is though so it helps me when it comes to my beauty tips.

Some of my favorite blogs/videos are her hauls or when she gets new things because it just seems so normal if you know what I mean? She just displays such excitement just like when normal people buy things and they get super excited about their new clothes which I love. Sometimes it can seem like some YouTubers/bloggers can get into the motions and be really unenthusiastic when it comes to talking about products but it ever fails that Patricia is always upbeat.

Also shes never afraid to talk about herself I mean all bloggers talk about herself but I mean shes able to talk about certain things that might make her uncomfortable or that shes insecure about yet she makes it work. She's been taking her viewers with her on her quest to just lose a few pounds which I think is commendable because I couldn't do that especially if its something that I don't embrace about myself.

All in all thats why Patricia Bright is one of my biggest blogging inspirations and favorites.

Here are all of her links:

Thanks so much for reading!

Style Inspiration: Keke Palmer

Here comes another Style Inspiration Post.

This one is about Keke Palmer.

Keke is a 20 year old actress, singer, songwriter, designer, philanthropist and talk show host. You may know her from some of her trademark roles such as Akeelah and the Bee, Jump In!, True Jackson, VP, and more recently CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story plus her new talk show, Just Keke

Since True Jackson, VP, I've loved Keke Palmer and now having seen her grow up her style has evolved which was also a component to my love for style budding.

Here are some of my favorite looks from Keke:

Yes, this is my favorite color and she is slaying this.

I only just noticed you can only see one one of her arms, whoops.

I loved her look for the BET Awards.

Well that's it for this post you guys! If you liked it you should find more Keke and check out her show on BET at 5PM EST every weekday! Until next post, bye! Love you.

Fashionable Weekend (July 4th-6th 2014)

Well, hello hello my lovely readers.

I'd just like to talk to you guys a little bit. This weekend I was actually at  three day event but my family and I went up early on Thursday seeing as it was a few hours away.

These are my outfits from the weekend starting with Friday:

Shirt, Shoes: Charlotte Russe
Skirt: New York and Company
Bag: Old Navy
Necklace: Forever 21
Earrings: Wet Seal
I really loves this outfit. The skirt I bought for only 12.99 because of the major sale going on at New York and Company. I thought it was kind of business-y because of the fit of the skirt yet the pattern and the heels I thought made it more young and vibrant.

Saturday:

Dress: Belks
Shoes: Forever 21
Bag: Nine West
Earrings: Wet Seal

Okay so this was probably my most simple outfit because who doesn't love a maxi dress? When I saw it I loved the lace embroidery going up and down the front. These wedges from Forever 21 helped me in the height department too, although I'm not short that dress was supa long.

Sunday:

(There aren't as many pictures because my family and I had to leave to get on the highway so my parents could get back to work. Sorry :( )

Blouse, Necklace: Forever 21
Skirt: DIY
Shoes: Charlotte Russe
Earrings: Wet Seal
This was the outfit I was the most excited about because I DIY-d my skirt. I has been looking for a tulle skirt since about last November and I could not find one to save my life. So I just made one myself. It was actually really easy and I loves making it. My blouse was actually a gift from one of my wonderful older cousins who said she would gift me something for my exam grades.
She's wonderful.
Lastly my shoes are my go-to studded heels from Charlotte Russe.

Well that's all the fashion stuff! So I'll show you some pictures of my friends, family, and I this past weekend.

Thanks for reading guys!
